The thermostat shuts off the boiler when it's too warm; the body sweats to cool down; the pendulum self-regulates. Without negative feedback there would be no homeostasis: no body temperature, no ecological balance, no stable prices.

Los sistemas vivos suelen tener ambos bucles operando en paralelo. Tu cuerpo se regula (negativa: temperatura, glucemia) y se desboca (positiva: enamorarse, indignarse, fiebre). La salud no es ausencia de positiva — es composición justa entre las dos. Saber leer qué bucle predomina, en qué momento, es trabajo fino. Living systems usually have both loops operating in parallel. Your body regulates (negative: temperature, blood sugar) and bolts (positive: falling in love, anger, fever). Health isn't absence of positive — it's a just composition between the two. Reading which loop dominates, when, is delicate work.

Mismo bucle, sentido opuesto. It starts with a remark. The other answers a bit louder. You raise your tone. They raise their voice. In ten minutes the conflict looks nothing like its original spark: effect has become cause, and cause has become effect. A pause, a "wait, let's reset", would be negative feedback stabilizing. Same loop, opposite direction.

Not every positive loop is illness — falling in love, learning, growing are healthy positive loops. The distinction isn't in form but in whether the loop closes or devours itself. Telling them apart needs ethics, not just description.
